Volunteering with Sunflower is an opportunity to contribute directly to meaningful development work in Bangladesh while gaining valuable experience and insight into grassroots change. We welcome both Bangladeshi nationals and international volunteers who are committed to supporting vulnerable communities.
For Volunteers in Bangladesh
If you are based in Bangladesh and want to gain experience in the development sector, Sunflower offers opportunities to support our programmes and strengthen your CV. Volunteers work alongside our teams in areas such as education, health, women’s empowerment, and community development.
We currently offer placements in Dinajpur and Sylhet, although opportunities change from time to time depending on project needs. Please check with us for the latest openings.

For International Volunteers
unflower regularly welcomes international volunteers through our partners abroad, particularly in the United Kingdom. These partners organise structured trips to Bangladesh where volunteers can experience the culture, support charitable activities, and learn about international development in practice.
If you are interested in volunteering from outside Bangladesh, please send your CV and a short covering letter to info@sunflowerbd.org with the subject line Volunteer Opportunities. Your application will be processed by one of our international partners, who will coordinate placements and provide further details about travel and programme arrangements.

Bring Your Own Project
If you have an idea for a project, we are open to supporting you in developing it. Send us a short proposal outlining your idea and we can explore how to make it happen together.
Volunteer Days
We also welcome group volunteering initiatives. If you would like to organise a volunteer day, Sunflower can help facilitate activities such as river or pond clean-ups, street cleaning, or tree planting. We work with local schools, colleges, and universities to get the community involved, creating lasting impact while raising awareness of environmental and social responsibility.
